This report serves as a snapshot of the economy of Pakistan, developed as a capstone project for an upper-level international economics course at Belmont Univeristy. From fluctuations in its GDP growth over time and the events that caused them to projections of the nation’s financial future, the details of the report touch on many of factors directly influencing Pakistan’s economy today. As supported by the findings of The Development Dichotomy, my research revealed that Pakistan must seek the growth and development of its human capital in order to achieve greater economic prosperity. While partnerships with powerful nations such as the United States and China have propelled its growth, Pakistan ultimately must look inward and foster domestic growth to become a stronger and more developed nation.
